I'm very fond of hyenas, no matter the slander TLK tries to put on them 
And while this isn't my favorite spotted variety, it's still a very nice creature. If you're among those who think the hyenas are filthy, mean creatures, I hope the expression it gave when learning of their largely undeserved reputation will make you feel guilty.
This brown hyena is a scavenger, feeding mostly on carcasses (in nature) and always waiting till their exhibit is too dark to take any decent photo (in Zoo Praha where I've taken this shot).
They were, in fact, out unusually early and I'm glad, since I think it's a beautiful creature.

They're completely misunderstood animals. I love these guys myself. I have had people tell me they are icky and other things but I disagree. People just gap at me when I say they are adorable.
